D.N.A

My friend, Samantha Scott, attends Mountview - Academy of Theatre Arts. They recently put on a production of DNA (DeoxyriboNucleicAcid) written by Dennis Kelly. Dennis Kelly happened to get a first in drama and theatre arts from Goldsmiths College, which is the University College I attend. Lovely.

Although I found the beginning of the play a little bit cliche - i started to warm to it, and found it quite emotional, pulled on my heartstrings a little. It explores human identity, through social aggression - teasing and bullying that goes awry. It also looks at gang culture.

The acting was most likely the main cause of my emotional response, it was fantastic, and the girl who played "Leah" blew me away, her emotions could change in a second!

So yes, I was very impressed, and glad I went to see it after all of that. I expect to see all the names in the cast in West End productions in the future!
